Emergency Management Amendment

Regulations 2008

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.            Citation

18 March 2008 GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, WA 867

2.            Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows:

(a)	regulations 1 and 2— on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.            The regulations amended

The amendments in these regulations are to the Emergency
Management Regulations 2006.

4.            Regulation 14 amended

Regulation 14 is amended as follows:

(a)

in the definition of "preparedness" by deleting " emergency management ";

(b)

in the definition of "response" by deleting "emergency" " emergency management ".

5.            Regulation 15 amended

Regulation 15 is amended as follows:

(a)

in paragraph (0 by deleting "environment." and " environment; ";

(b) by inserting after paragraph (1)

(g) human epidemic.

6.            Regulation 18 inserted

After regulation 17 the following regulation is inserted —

18. Hazard management agency — State Health
Coordinator

The State Health Coordinator, Department of Health, is the hazard management agency of the hazard of human epidemic —

(a)	for the emergency management aspects of preparedness and response; and
(b)	for the whole of the State.
