Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Electronic Transactions Act 2000.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to apply certain provisions of the Electronic Transactions Act 2000 to the Legal Profession Act 2004 and the regulations made under that Act. This will enable certain transactions under that Act and the regulations to be carried out electronically and certain requirements to be fulfilled electronically.
This Regulation is made under the Electronic Transactions Act 2000, including section 15

(the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Electronic Transactions Amendment (Legal
Profession) Regulation 2010.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Electronic Transactions Regulation 2007

Clauses 4 (1) and 7 (1)

Omit “Legal Profession Act 2004, and any regulations under that Act” wherever occurring.
