Electricity Transmission Amendment

Regulations 2002

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.            Citation

These regulations may be cited as the Electricity lransiniSSi017
Amendment Regulations 2002.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation on 1 January 2003.

clause 6(3)(c) of Schedule 5 to the Act.

3.            The regulations amended

The amendments in these regulations are to the Electricity
Transmission Regulations 1996* unless otherwise indicated.

4.             Regulation 20 replaced

Regulation 20 is repealed and the following regulation is inserted instead

20.          Loss factors

(1) In this regulation
"Prices and Charges Paper" means a document

containing details of pricing methods referred to in

(2) The loss factor for a particular connection or a

connection of a particular class is the factor for that
connection or class specified in the most recent Prices

and Charges Paper.

(3) If an exempt connection is commissioned and is not

specified or of a class specified in the most recent exempt connection is equal to the loss factor for the connection located electrically closest to the exempt connection.

(4) Western Power may amend the Prices and Charges

Paper -

(a)

to change a loss factor or to include a new loss factor; or

(b)

to change the description of a class of connections, or to include a new class of connections, for loss factors.

(5)

An amendment of a kind described in subregulation (4) must not be made more than once in any financial year.

(6) Before Western Power -

(a) makes an amendment of a kind described in subregulation (4); or
(b) changes the methodology used to calculate loss factors specified in the Prices and Charges Paper,

it must provide details of the proposed amendment or change to the Coordinator and take into consideration any recommendations made by the Coordinator as to the amendment or change.

(7) Western Power must review annually the loss factors

specified in the Prices and Charges Paper.
5. Schedule 4 repealed
Schedule 4 is repealed.

6.            Consequential amendments to Electricity Distribution Regulations 1997

(1) The amendments in this regulation are to the Electricity
Distribution Regulations 1997*•

(2) The provisions referred to in the Table to this subregulation are
amended by deleting "set out in Schedule 4 to" in each place
where it occurs and inserting instead —
" determined under regulation 20 of ".
