Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following

Regulation under the Electricity Supply Act 1995.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to prescribe AGL Macquarie Pty Limited as a direct supplier of electricity, and the supply of electricity by AGL Macquarie Pty Limited to the Tomago Aluminium Company Pty Ltd as a liable acquisition, for the purpose of the energy savings scheme provisions in the Electricity Supply Act 1995. These changes are a consequence of the sale of Macquarie Generation to AGL Macquarie Pty Limited.

This Regulation is made under the Electricity Supply Act 1995, including sections 101 (2), 107 (2) (b) and 191 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Electricity Supply (General) Amendment (Sale of Macquarie
Generation) Regulation 2014.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Electricity Supply (General) Regulation 2014

(1) Clause 29 Direct suppliers of electricity

Omit “Macquarie Generation” from clause 29 (1) (a).

Insert instead “AGL Macquarie Pty Limited”.

Omit “Macquarie Generation”.
Insert instead “AGL Macquarie Pty Limited (ACN 167 859 494)”.
