Regulation under the Electricity Supply Act 1995.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to extend, until 1 September 2020, the prohibition on the remote de-energisation and remote re-energisation of the premises of small customers.

This Regulation is made under the Electricity Supply Act 1995, including section 191 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Electricity Supply (General) Amendment (Remote

De-energisation and Re-energisation) Regulation 2020.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Electricity Supply (General) Regulation 2014

Clause 8A Prohibition on remote de-energisation and re-energisation by certain

persons

Omit “1 June 2020” from clause 8A(2). Insert instead “1 September 2020”.
