ELECTRICITY SUPPLY ACT 1995 No 94—PROCLAMATION

NEW SOUTH WALES

I, the Honourable ANTHONY MURRAY GLEESON, AC, Lieutenant-Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Electricity Supply Act 1995, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 March 1996 as the day on which the following provisions of that Act commence:

(a) Part 1;
(b) Division 2 of Part 7;
(c) sections 106, 107, 108, 109 and 110;
(d) Schedules 3 and 4;

(e) Schedule 5.1 [6];

(f)

so much of Schedule 5.1 [ 14] as repeals Schedules 8 and 10 to the Electricity Act 1945;

(g) Schedule 5.1 [ 15];
(h) Schedule 5.9;
(i) Part 1, and Division 2 of Part 2, of Schedule 6;

(j) the Dictionary.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Proclamation commences provisions of the Electricity Supply Act 1995 that

relate to the following matters:

(a)

the distribution districts of electricity distributors that are also energy distributors under the Energy Services Corporations Act 1995;

(b) the repeal of the Sydney Electricity Act 1990;
(c) the water supply functions exercised by certain electricity distributors.
