Wales. on the recommendation of the Treasurer and with the advice of the Executive Council. and in pursuance of sections 43B (1) and 43N (1) of the Electricity Supply Act 1995, make the following Order.

The Electricity Supply Act 1995 enables the Governor. by order made on the recommencdation of the Treasurer, to determine a price increase:

(a)	under section 43B ( 1 ) , for the provision of network services for non-franchise customers of electricity distributors, and
(b)	under section 43N (1), for the provision of network services to the direct customers of transmission operators,

Electricity Supply (Pricing Of Electricity) Order 1998

Explanatory note

that is not more than 0.550 cents per kilowatt hour above the maximum pricing determination of the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal for the provision of those services. This Order determines a price increase of 0.520 cents per Kilowatt hour above that maximum pricing determination in each case. This Order applies to electricity network services that are provided on or after 28 June 1998.

Electricity Supply (Pricing Of Electricity) Order 1998 Clause 1

1 Name of Order

2     Provision of network services to non-franchise customers of electricity distributors

The amount determined for the purposes of section 43B (1) of the

Electricity Supply Act 1995 is 0.520 cents per kilowatt hour of

the electricity supplied.

3     Provision of network services to direct customers of transmission operators

The amount determined for the purposes of section 43N (1) of the Electricity Supply Act 1995 is 0.520 cents per kilowatt hour of the electricity supplied.

4 Application of order

This Order applies to electricity network services that are provided on or after 28 June 1998.
