His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Electricity Supply Act 1995.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to repeal amendments made to the Electricity Supply (General) Regulation 1996 by the Electricity Supply (General) Amendment (Victorian Power Exchange) Regulation 1997. Those amendments will become unnecessary when the Electricity Legislation Amendment (Wholesale Electricity Market) Act 1997 commences.

This Regulation is made in connection with the commencement of the Electricity Legislation Amendment (Wholesale Electricity Market) Act 1997. This Regulation is made under the Electricity Supply Act 1995, including section 106 (the general regulation making power).

1 Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Electricity Supply (General) Amendment

(Wholesale Electricity Market) Regulation 1997.

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on 18 July 1997.

3 Amendment

The Electricity Supply (General) Regulation 1996 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.

4 Notes

The explanatory note does not form part of this Regulation.

Omit the clause.
