2 Electricity (Superannuation Scheme Determination) Amendment (No. 3) No. 219, 1993 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Electricity (Superannuation Scheme Determination) Amendment Regulation (No. 3) 1993 . ˙ Amended determination 2. The determination made under the Act and published in the Gazette on 6 August 1988 at page 3261 is amended as set out in this regulation. ˙ Amendment of first sentence 3. First sentence— omit the words from ‘ in pursuance of ’ to ‘ varied as follows:— ’, insert ‘ under the ElectricityAct1976 has made the following determination. ˙ ‘Short title ‘1. This regulation may be cited as the Electricity (Superannuation Scheme Determination) Regulation 1988 . ˙ ‘Commencement ‘2. This regulation commences on 8 August 1988. ˙ ‘Purpose of regulation ‘3. This regulation sets out a determination under clause 4(2A) of Schedule 5 to the Act, that varies the existing and accruing rights, privileges and liabilities of certain continuing members. ˙ ‘Definitions ‘4. In this regulation— “Accumulations Fund” has the meaning given in section 3 of the Articles; “continuing member” means a member who, under section 10 of the

3 Electricity (Superannuation Scheme Determination) Amendment (No. 3) No. 219, 1993 Articles, has continued to contribute to the Scheme under a trust deed; “the Articles” means the Articles of the Queensland Electricity Supply Industry Employees’ Superannuation Scheme; “trust deed” means a Provident Fund Trust Deed as defined in the Articles. ˙ ‘Variation ‘5. This variation varies the existing and accruing rights, privileges and liabilities of certain continuing members as follows— ’. ˙ Amendment of s.5 (Variation) 4. Section 5(a)(ii)— omit, insert— ‘ (ii) the employer’s contribution is to be— (A) up to and including 30 June 1993—1.86 times the employee’s contributions; and (B) from 1 July 1993—2.66 times the employee’s contributions reduced by contributions made to the Accumulations Fund by the employer on behalf of the employee; ’.
