Electricity Safety (Equipment Efficiency) Revocation Regulations 2012

1Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to revoke the Electricity Safety (Equipment Efficiency) Regulations 2009 as a consequence of the enactment of the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards Act 2012 of the Commonwealth.
2Authorising provisions
These Regulations are made under sections 154 and 157 of the Electricity Safety Act 1998.
3Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on 1 January 2013.
4Revocation
The following Regulations are revoked—
(a)Electricity Safety (Equipment Efficiency) Regulations 2009[1];
(b)Electricity Safety (Equipment Efficiency) Amendment (Televisions, Liquid-Chilling Packages, Close Control Airconditioners and General Lighting Services) Regulations 2009[2];
(c)Electricity Safety (Equipment Efficiency) Amendment Regulations 2010[3].

1. General Information
The Electricity Safety (Equipment Efficiency) Revocation Regulations 2012, S.R. No. 152/2012 were made on 11 December 2012 by the Governor in Council under sections 154 and 157 of the Electricity Safety Act 1998, No. 25/1998 and came into operation on 1 January 2013: regulation 3.
The Electricity Safety (Equipment Efficiency) Revocation Regulations 2012 will sunset 10 years after the day of making on 11 December 2022 (see section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994).
2. Table of Amendments
There are no amendments made to the Electricity Safety (Equipment Efficiency) Revocation Regulations 2012 by statutory rules, subordinate instruments and Acts.
