ELECTRICITY RESTRICTION REGULATIONS.
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Electricity Restriction
Regulations.
2. In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears—
"e lec t r i c i ty" means electricity supplied in pursuance of
the provisions of any law in force in the Terr i tory;
" the proper authority " means the proper authority appointed under the Canberra and Jervis Bay Electric Supply Regulations.
3. A person shall not use or consume any electricity—•

(«) for the purpose of, or in connexion with, any advertisement
or sign of any description whatsoever;
(/)) for the purpose of sho.p front lighting, shop window lighting, display window lighting, under awning lighting, lighting of any tennis court, swimming bath or .sports ground, or any decorative lighting or the external or open air lighting of theatres, public halls, places of public amuse- ment or entertainment or of any other buildings; or
( r ) in any office premises, warehouse, shop, factory, theatre, public hall, place of 'public amusement or entertainment for the purpose of space heating, or radiating heat, or heating air by means of a radiator or air-conditioning plant or other appliance except where the heating is a necessary part of an industrial or manufacturing process.

| Entry ami | 4.—(1.) The proper authority-may authorize in writing any person ' " enter at any time and inspect any premises which are supplied by the Department of the Interior with electricity for the purpose of ascertaining whether the provisions of these Regulations are being complied with. |

| (2.) A person shall not refuse admission to any premises to any person authorized under the last preceding sub-regulation to enter and inspect premises and shall not obstruct any person in the exercise of his authority so to enter and inspect. | |

Any person who is convicted of an offence against any provision of these Regulations shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding Fifty pounds or imprisonment for three months, and, where the offence is a continuing offence, a penalty not exceeding Five pounds iper day during the period during which the offence continues. |
