AMENDMENT) ACT.

An"Act to make further provision for the appointment of the chairman of the Electricity Authority of New South Wales; to amend the Electricity Development Act, 1945; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 20th December, 1973.]

This Act may be cited as the "Electricity Development (Further Amendment) Act, 1973".

and with the advice and consent of the Legislative
Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as

follows : —

1. The Electricity Development Act, 1945, is amended—

   (a) by omitting section 5 (2 ) ( a ) ( i ) ; and

(b) by omitting from section 5 (2) (a) (ii) the words "other than" and by inserting instead the word "including".

3. If an appointment of a chairman of the Electricity Authority of New South Wales was made before the com­ mencement of this Act to take effect on or after that com­ mencement then that appointment takes effect as if section 2 had been in force when that appointment was made.
