Electricity Amendment Regulation (No. 4) 2011 [s 1] 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Electricity Amendment Regulation (No. 4) 2011 . 2 Regulation amended This regulation amends the Electricity Regulation 2006 . 3 Amendment of s 14 (Service lines on customer’s premises—electricity entity’s obligations) (1) Section 14(2)— omit, insert— ‘(2) The electricity entity must— (a) if requested by a customer to connect a service line that is a standard control service—meet the cost of providing and installing the service line to the customer’s premises; or (b) if requested by a customer to provide and install or arrange for the provision and installation of a service line that is not a standard control service—provide and install or arrange for the provision and installation of the service line to the customer’s premises at the customer’s expense.’. (2) Section 14(4), from ‘subsections (1)(b), (2) and (3)’ to ‘to a customer’— omit, insert— ‘subsections (1)(b), (2)(a) and (3) apply only to the provision and installation of 1 initial service line that is a standard control service’. Electricity Amendment Regulation (No. 4) 2011 [s 4] 4 Amendment of s 15 (Service lines on customer’s premises—customer’s obligations) Section 15(3)— omit, insert— ‘(3) The customer must pay the reasonable cost of a service line provided, unless— (a) the service line is a standard control service; and (b) the line is an initial service line to the customer’s premises.’. 5 Amendment of sch 9 (Dictionary) (1) Schedule 9, definition ‘ service line ’— omit . (2) Schedule 9— insert— service line means an electric line that connects consumers terminals to the relevant supplier’s works or the works of another electricity entity. standard control service has the meaning given in the National Electricity Rules.’.
