s1 2 s5 Electricity Amendment (No. 4) No. 289, 1995 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Electricity Amendment Regulation (No. 4) 1995. ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the Electricity Regulation 1994 . ˙ Amendment of s 12 (Deputies for members (other than chairperson)) 3. Section 12(1), after ‘appoint’— insert— ‘a person who is eligible to be a member as’. ˙ Amendment of s 36 (Classes of licences) 4. Section 36, paragraph (f)— omit, insert— ‘(f) electrical contractor. 1 ’. ˙ Amendment of s 38 (Permit) 5.(1) Section 38, heading— omit, insert— Training permit ’. (2) Section 38(1), ‘A permit’— omit, insert— ‘A training permit’. 1 The licensing provisions in this part apply subject to the Mutual Recognition Act 1992 (Cwlth).
s6 3 s6 Electricity Amendment (No. 4) No. 289, 1995 ˙ Amendment of s 40 (Entitlement to licence as electrical worker) 6.(1) Section 40(1)(e) after ‘language’— insert— ‘without the aid of an interpreter’. (2) Section 40— insert— (1A) Without limiting subsection (1)(b), the Board may consider the following about the individual’s activities as an electrical worker— (a) disciplinary action taken against the individual under a law regulating the activities of electrical workers; (b) the individual’s non-performance of an obligation under a law about electrical work and the reasons for the non-performance.’ ENDNOTES 1.
