ELECTRICITY ACT 1945-REGULATION

(Relating to the Electricity Transmission Authority)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Electricity Act 1945, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Electricity (Workers’ Safety) Regulation 1992 is amended by omitting from Schedule 1 the words “The Electricity Commission of New South Wales” wherever occurring and by inserting instead the words “The Electricity Transmission Authority”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

Consequent on the commencement of the Electricity Transmission Authority Act 1994, the electricity transmission functions of Pacific Power (formerly the Electricity Commission of New South Wales) were transferred to the Electricity Transmission Authority.

The object of this Regulation is to effect consequential amendments to Schedule 1
(Qualifications and Training) to the Electricity (Workers’ Safety) Regulation 1992.

This Regulation is made under the Electricity Act 1945, including section 37 (the general regulation-making power, in particular, section 37 (2) (i), (k) and (l)).
