ELECTRICITY ACT 1945 – REGULATION

(Relating to residual current devices)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Electricity Act 1945, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Electrical Articles Regulation 1985 is amended by inserting in Schedule 1 (Categories of Electrical Articles) under the heading “Category 3” and after the matter “Pressure storage water heater” the matter “Residual current device”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

Schedule 1 to the Electrical Articles Regulation 1985 assigns categories to electrical articles for the determination, amongst other things, of the fees to be paid when application is made for the approval of those articles. The object, of this new Regulation is to amend the Electrical Articles Regulation 1985 to assign to residual current devices such a category.
