ELECTRICITY ACT 1945—PROCLAMATION
NEW SOUTH WALES

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 7Y (1) (a) of the Electricity Act 1945, do, by this my Proclamation, dissolve the county councils specified in Column I of the Schedule below (being county councils that have electricity functions), with effect on and from 1 July 1993.
Pursuant to Part 2 of Schedule 11 to the Electricity Act 1945, the electricity distributor specified in Column 2 of the Schedule below opposite a county council in Column 1 of that Schedule is specified as the corresponding electricity distributor in relation to that county council.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
Section 7Y (1) (a) of the Electricity Act 1945 provides that the Governor may, by proclamation. dissolve a county council that has electricity functions. The purpose of this Proclamation is to dissolve a number of county councils, effective on I July 1993.
Part 2 of Schedule 11 to that Act contains savings, transitional and other provisions consequent on the dissolution of county councils. including the transfer of assets, rights and liabilities to corresponding electricity distributors. This Proclamation also specifies the corresponding electricity distributor in relation to each dissolved county council.
