Electrical Safety Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 2009 [s 1] 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Electrical Safety Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 2009 . 2 Regulation amended This regulation amends the Electrical Safety Regulation 2002. 3 Replacement of s 43 (Financial and insurance requirements for applicant for electrical contractor licence) Section 43— omit, insert — ‘43 Insurance requirements for applicant for electrical contractor licence ‘An applicant for an electrical contractor licence must give to the chief executive— (a) evidence that the applicant has public and products liability insurance for at least $5000000, under a contract of insurance approved by the chief executive; and (b) evidence that the applicant has consumer protection insurance for at least $50000, under a contract of insurance approved by the chief executive.’. 4 Amendment of s 64A (Requirement to consult) (1) Section 64A(1)(b)— renumber as section 64A(1)(c). (2) Section 64A(1)— insert — ‘(b) the work is not low voltage electrical work that is to be performed by an eligible person; and’. Page 2 2009 SL No. 276
