Electoral Regulations1 (Amendment)

The Australian Capital Territory Executive makes the following Regulations under the Electoral Act 1992.

Commencement

1.  These Regulations commence on the day on which they are notified in the Gazette.

Principal Regulations

2.  In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Electoral Regulations.

Remuneration

3.  (1)  Regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting subregulation (2) and substituting the following subregulation:

“(2)  For the purposes of subsection 26 (1) of the Act, the prescribed remuneration is remuneration at the rate of $76, 062 per year. ”.

(2)  The amendment effected by subregulation (1) shall be taken to have commenced on 1 July 1994.
