Queensland Electoral and Administrative Review Amendment Act 1993 Act No. 1 of 1993 An Act to amend the Electoral and Administrative Review Act 1989 [Assented to 3 March 1993]

4 Electoral and Administrative Review Amendment No. 1, 1993 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows. ˙ Short title 1. This Act may be cited as the Electoral and Administrative Review Amendment Act 1993 . ˙ Amended Act 2. The Electoral and Administrative Review Act 1989 is amended as set out in this Act. ˙ Amendment of s.2.6 (Tenure of office) 3.(1) Section 2.6(1)— omit ‘ less than two years or ’. (2) After section 2.6(3)— insert— ‘(4) The Governor in Council may, by Gazette notice, extend the term of appointment of a member of the Commission by not more than 6 months. ‘(5) To remove any doubt, the extension of the term of a Commissioner is not an appointment under this Act. ’.
