Electoral Amendment Regulations 2008

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Electoral Amendment
Regulations 2008.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)	regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Electoral Regulations 1996.

4.             Schedule 3 amended

In Schedule 3 Form 17 delete the passage that begins with
“electoral regions to elect:” and ends with “Mining and Pastoral

Region.” and insert: 

electoral regions to elect 6 members of the Legislative
Council for each of the electoral regions known,
respectively, as the Agricultural Region, the East
Metropolitan Region, the Mining and Pastoral Region,
the North Metropolitan Region, the South Metropolitan

Region and the South West Region.
