AN ACT to amend section eighteen of the Electoral Act,

1907-1921.

[Assented to 4th January, 1935.]

Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, inBE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, byand with the advice and consent of the Legislative

this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of

the same, as follows:—

1. This Act may be cited as the Electoral Act Amendment short title.

Act, 1934, and shall be read as one with the Electoral Act, 1907-1921, as reprinted in the Appendix to the Sessional Volume of the Statutes for the year 1928 and amended by the Electoral Act Amendment Act, 1931 (No. 38 of 1931), hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

2. Section eighteen of the principal Act is amended by— Amendment

of s.

(a)

inserting after the word "Asia," in the first line of paragraph (d), the words and parentheses "(ex- cept British India) " ;

(b) inserting after the word "Pacific," in the second line of paragraph (d), the words and parentheses " (except New Zealand) ";

(c)

inserting at the end of paragraph (d) the follow-

ing:—

"but the disqualifications created by this para- graph do not apply to any person who is a natural- ised subject of His Majesty."
