An Act to amend The Electoral Act,"

[Assented to, 18th December, 18'73.1

The Electoral Act "-Be Preamble.

W HEREAS it is expedient to ameud it therefore Enacted by the Governor of the Province of South Australia, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in this present Parliament assembled, as follows:

1. From and after the passing of this A-ct the sections of '' The	Amendment of aertain

Section 18 shall be read and have effect as if the word January "

were therein inserted in the first line thereof in lieu of the

word U February ":

Section 20 shall be read and have effect as if the words during

the first week in the month of January " were therein inserted, in lieu and instead of the words between the thirty-first day of January and the eighth day of February" in the first and second lines of the said section:

Section 22 shall be read and have effect as if the words "the first day of March " were therein inserted, in lieu and instead of the words C L second Monday in March" on the second line of the said section:

Section 23 shall be read and have effect as if the words on or before the first day of June " were therein inserted, in lie**

Section 24 shall be read and have effect as if the word 'L July" were therein inserted, in lieu and instead of the word " June" in the third line of the said section:

Section 25 shall be read and have effect as if the word June"

were therein inserted, in lieu of the word May " in the first,

eleventh, and seventeenth lines of the said section:

Section 34 shall be read and have effect as if the word July"

were therein inserted, in lieu and instead of the word a June "

in the first line of the said sectioa.

hoorporation. 2. This Act and the "Electoral Act," except in so far as the

same is altered by this Act, shall be incorporated, and read, and

construed together accordingly.
