An Act to amend the Election of Senators Act 1903.

[Assented to 28 August 2001]

The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:

1.             Short title

This Act may be cited as the Election of Senators Amendment

Act 2001.

2.             Commencement

This Act comes into operation on the day on which it receives

the Royal Assent.

3.             The Act amended

The amendments in this Act are to the Election of Senators

Act 1903*.

4.             Section 3 amended

(1) Section 3(2) is amended as follows:

(a) by deleting “11” and inserting instead —

“ 10 ”;

(b) by deleting “28” and inserting instead —

“ 27 ”.

(2) Section 3(4) is amended as follows:

(a) by deleting “22” and inserting instead —

“ 23 ”;

(b) by deleting “30” and inserting instead —

“ 31 ”.
