PROCLAMATION

WESTERN AUSTRALIA By His Excellency Lieutenant General John Murray

Governor. Governor of the State of Western Australia.

For the purpose of the election of 6 Senators for the State of Western Australia to the Senate of the Parliament of the Commonwealth, I, the Governor, acting under the Election of Senators Act 1903 and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, fix —

(a)	7 September 2004 as the date for the close of the rolls;
(b)	16 September 2004 at 12 noon as the date and time before which nominations for the election are to be made;

(c) 9 October 2004 as the date for the polling; and

(d) 8 December 2004 as the date for the return of the writ issued in respect of the election.

Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the State at Perth on 31 August 2004.
