STATUTORY RULES 1951, No. 113.(y)

Salary of Chairman of Board.

1. Regulation 3 of the Egg Export Control (Fees, Salaries and Expenses) Regulations is amended by omitting the words “One thousand five hundred” and inserting in their stead the words “One thousand seven hundred and fifty”.

Salaries of members.

2. Regulation 4 of the Egg Export Control (Fees, Salaries and Expenses) Regulations is amended by omitting the words “Three hundred” and inserting in their stead the words “Four hundred”.

Travelling expenses.

3. Regulation 5 of the Egg Export Control (Fees, Salaries and Expenses) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (1.) the words “Two pounds two shillings” and inserting in their stead the words “Two pounds ten shillings”; and

 

(y) Made under the Egg Export Control Act 1947-1948 on 27th September, 1951; notified in Gazette on 28th September, 1951.

 

(b) by adding at the end thereof the following sub-regulation:—

“(3.) Whenever the Chairman or a member of the Board is required by the Board to travel outside Australia on such business of the Board as the Board determines, he shall not be entitled to receive an allowance under sub-regulation (1.) of this regulation but shall be entitled to receive an allowance at the same rate as that payable to an officer of the Commonwealth Public Service who is in receipt of the same rate of salary as the Chairman while the officer is travelling outside Australia on official duties.”.

Fees of members.

4. Regulation 6 of the Egg Export Control (Fees, Salaries and Expenses) Regulations is amended by adding at the end thereof the following sub-regulation:—

“(2.) Whenever a member of the Board is required by the Board to travel outside Australia on such business of the Board as the Board determines, he shall not be entitled to receive a fee under sub-regulation (1.) of this regulation, but shall be entitled to receive, in addition to his salary as a member of the Board, a fee at the rate of Two pounds twelve shillings and sixpence per day for each day upon which he is engaged on that business.”.

Commencement.

5.—(1.) Regulations 1 and 2 of these Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on the first day of July, 1950.

(2.) The amendment effected by paragraph (a) of Regulation 3 of these Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on the first day of June, 1951.
