An Act relating
to Membership of the Australian Egg Board pending the holding of Elections of
Members to represent Producers in each State.

BE it
enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of
Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:—
Short
title.
1. This Act may be cited as the Egg
Export Control Act 1950.
Commencement.
2. This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives
the Royal Assent.
Extension
of terms of office of certain members of Australian Egg Board.
3.—(1.) Notwithstanding anything contained in section
five of the Egg Export Control Act 1947–1948,
the Governor-General may, not later than the thirty-first day of December, One
thousand nine hundred and fifty, extend to a date not later than the
thirty-first day of December, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-one, the
terms of office of such of the members of the Australian Egg Board holding
office at the time of the extension as represent producers.
(2.) The date to which the terms of office are
extended shall be such date as the Governor-General considers will allow
sufficient time for the holding, before that date, of an election by producers
in each State of a member to represent those producers.
