e The main purpose of this Act is to amend the

5. Teachers in schools

(1) Insert the following heading to section 15B of the

o "(4) A person who has, at any time, in Victoria or
D elsewhere, been convicted or found guilty of
ry a sexual offence within the meaning of the

(9) If a person employed or engaged by a school

9. Appointments to the teaching service

(1) After section 5(2) of the Teaching Service Act

n "(2A) A person who has, at any time, in Victoria or

(10) If a person who is employed under this section is refused registration under the Victorian Institute of Teaching Act 2001

m period that the person's registration is

o (11) Without limiting sub-section (8), the

65B. Suspension and dismissal of unregistered
