This regulation may be cited as the Education (General Provisions) Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 1993 . ˙ Commencement 2.(1) This regulation (other than section 6(2)) commences on 1 January 1994. (2) Section 6(2) commences on 1 July 1994. ˙ Amended regulation 3. The Education (General Provisions) Regulation 1989 is amended as set out in this regulation. ˙ Amendment of s.3 (Interpretation) 4. Section 3 (definitions “Commissioner of Transport” and “the Act” )— omit. ˙ Amendment of s.42 (Activities of an association) 5. Section 42— omit ‘ Minister for Works ’, insert ‘ chief executive of the department that deals with the matters mentioned in paragraphs (a) to (c) ’. ˙ Amendment of s.57 (Per capita allowances to certain student hostels) 6.(1) Section 57(3)(a) and (b)— omit, insert— ‘ (a) a Student Hostel General Purpose Grant of $330.00 a year for each student;
