s1 2 s5 Education (General Provisions) Amendment No. 114, 1995 (No. 1) ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Education (General Provisions) Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1995 . ˙ Commencement 2. This regulation is taken to have commenced on 1 May 1993. ˙ Regulation amended 3. This regulation amends the Education(GeneralProvisions)Regulation 1989 . ˙ Amendment of s 3 (Interpretation) 4. Section 3(1)— insert — “auditor” for a parents and citizens association, means a person appointed under section 3 of the Financial Administration and Audit Regulation1995 . 1 ˙ Amendment of s 48 (Establishment of subcommittees) 5. Section 48(4)(b), ‘shall be banked promptly in an account or accounts’— omit, insert — ‘must be deposited promptly in an account with a financial institution’. 1 Section 3 (Exemption of parents and citizens associations from audit by Auditor-General—Act, s 74).

s6 3 s8 Education (General Provisions) Amendment No. 114, 1995 (No. 1) ˙ Amendment of s 49 (Procedures relating to accounts etc. of an association) 6.(1) Section 49(2), ‘shall be banked promptly in an account or accounts’— omit, insert — ‘must be deposited promptly in an account with a financial institution’. (2) Section 49(2), ‘such bank accounts shall’— omit, insert — ‘the account may’. (3) Section 49(6), ‘, appointed pursuant to section 50,’— omit . ˙ Replacement of s 50 (Appointment of an auditor) 7. Section 50— omit, insert — ˙ ‘ Chief executive to be notified of appointment of auditor ‘ 50. The secretary of a parents and citizens association must, within 28 days of the meeting at which a person is appointed as an auditor for the association, notify the chief executive of the name, address and qualifications of the person.’. ˙ Amendment of s 51 (Duties of an auditor) 8.(1) Section 51, ‘, appointed under section 50,’— omit . (2) Section 51, ‘bank or other institutions’— omit, insert — ‘financial institutions’.
