Made under the Edith Cowan University Act 1984 section 29(2)(a) and the Interpretation Act 1984 section 55 by the Governor in Executive

1.            Citation

This proclamation is the Edith Cowan University (University Lands) Proclamation 2014.
2.	Declaration of University lands and correction of former declaration relating to 2007 lease
(1)	In this clause — 2007 lease means the Lease: Mt Lawley Senior High School Two Tier Car Park, made on 18 October 2007 by the Minister for Education and the Edith Cowan University; 2010 proclamation means the proclamation made under the Edith Cowan University Act 1984 section 29(2)(a) and published in the Gazette on 29 October 2010 at p. 5329; land area A means the land defined as "Leased Premises" in the 2007 lease, described as portion only of Lot 15125 on Deposited Plan 37266 and more particularly described as the Mt Lawley Senior High School Two Tier Car Park as indicated on the plan attached to the 2007 lease marked "A"; land area B means the whole of the land comprised in certificate of Crown land title volume 3131 folio 790.
(2)	Land area A, which is the land leased from the Minister for Education to the Edith Cowan University under the 2007 lease, is declared to be University lands for as long as that land is leased from the Minister for Education to the Edith Cowan University under that lease, rather than the land (which is land area B) that the 2010 proclamation incorrectly declared to be University lands on the basis that all of land area B is the land leased under the 2007 lease.

3.            Declaration of University lands relating to 2014 lease

(1)	In this clause —
2014 lease means the Lease: Mt Lawley Senior High School
Additional Land, made on 17 January 2014 by the Minister for Education and the Edith Cowan University.
(2)	The land defined as "Additional Land" in the 2014 lease, described as that part of Lot 15125 on Deposited Plan 37266 as is delineated and hatched on the plan annexed to the 2014 lease, is declared to be University lands for as long as that land is leased from the Minister for Education to the Edith Cowan University under the 2014 lease.
