AN ACT for the Termination of the Parlia-

mentary Ecclesiastical Grant.

[Assented to, 2nd October, 1g95.1

HEREAS it is expedient that the annual Ecclesiastical should cease, and that a sum in lieu thereof should be paid in two instalments to each of the Religious Bodies : Be it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

THIS Act may be cited as " The Ecclesiastical Grant Abolition

2.      THE sums set against the names of the several religious

bodies, mentioned in the Schedule hereto, shall be paid out of the

SUCH payments shall be in lieu of the said Ecclesiastical Grant, and the said Grant shall from and after the passing of this Act wholly cease, subject to the payment of any moneys voted by Parliament in respect of the said Grant during the present session.
