(2009/2011 Fishing Season) DETERMINATION

The Australian Fisheries Management Authority makes the following determination under section 13 of the Eastern Tuna and Billfish Fishery Management Plan 2005.

Citation

1. This Determination may be cited as 2009 ETBF TAE Determination.

Commencement

2. This Determination commences on the day after registration on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.

Interpretation

3. A term used in this Determination takes the meaning given to it in the Eastern Tuna and Billfish Fishery Management Plan 2005.
   
   

Determination of Total Allowable Effort

4. The Total Allowable Effort for the longline and minor line sectors of the Eastern Tuna and Billfish Fishery for the fishing season commencing on 1 November 2009 and ending on 28 February 2011, is:

(a)   Longline sector                 12 million effort units

(b)   Minor line sector                2,464 effort units
