AN ACT to amend the Eastern Goldfields Transport

Board Act, 1946-1970.

[Assented to 5th November, 1970.]

RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent

Majesty, by and with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council and the Legislative

Assembly of Western Australia, in this present

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the

same, as follows:—

Short title

and citation 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Eastern

Goldfields Transport Board Act Amendment Act

(No. 2), 1970.

(2) In this Act the Eastern Goldfields Transport Board Act, 1946-1970 is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Eastern Goldfields Transport Board Act, 1946-1970.

Amendment

2. Section 3 of the principal Act is amended by to s. 3.

substituting for the definition "local authority" a	pretations.)	(Inter-

"local authority" means the municipality of the Town of Kalgoorlie or the municipality of the Shire of Boulder; .

3.    Subsection (1) of section 8 of the principal itomsetiment

(1) Subject to subsection (4) of section twenty-two of this Act, the Board shall consist of six members, elected as provided in that section, and a chairman, appointed by the Governor from a panel of two names submitted respectively by the Council of the Town of Kalgoorlie and by the Council of the Shire of Boulder. .

(2) In order to avoid any doubt, it is declared that the provisions of the next succeeding Division of this Act do not apply in respect of any sum contributed by a local authority under subsection (1) of this section . .
