AN ACT to regulate the date of Easter Day.

this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of
the same, as follows:—
Short title.
1. This Act may be cited as the Easter Act, 1929.
Date ef Easter Day.
(1.) From and after a date to be appointed by the Governor and notified by proclamation, Easter Day shall, in every year, be the first Sunday after the second Saturday in April:

Provided that such date, to be so appointed, shall not precede the calendar year next but one after the commence- ment of the Imperial Act 18 and 19 Geo. V., Chapter 35.
(2.) Section three of the Imperial Act, entitled the Calendar (New Style) Act, 1750, the new calendar, tables, and rules annexed to that Act, and section two of the En- perMl Act, entitled the Calendar (New Style) Act, 1751, shall, in their application within this State, be read and con- strued subject to subsection one of this section, and in par- ticular the Calendar (New Style) Act, 1750, shall, in relation to the calendar years in which Easter Day is affected by that subsection, be read and construed as if in the "Rules to know when the Moveable Feasts and Holy Days begin," con- tained in that Act, the words "is always the first Sunday after the full moon which happens upon or next after the twenty-first day of March, and if the full moon happens upon a Sunday, Easter Day is the Sunday after," were omitted, and the words "is always the first Sunday after the second Saturday iu April" were inserted in lieu thereof.
