AN ACT to further amend the Early Closing

Act 1902.

Legislative Assembly of -Western Australia, in this presentBE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by andwith the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1.     This Act may be cited as the Early Closing Amendment Act, Short title.

1904 (No. 2), and shall be read as one with the Early Closing Act,

1902, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

2.      Section twelve of the principal Act is hereby amended by Amendment of Act

inserting, after the word employ, the words " any person for a longer No. of 1902, s.12,

'period than fifty-six hours, excluding meal times, in anv one week or."

3.     Section ten of the Early Closing Act Amendment Act, 1904 Amendment of Act

(hereinafter referred to as the amending Act), is hereby amended No. 1 of 1904, s. 10.

by inserting after the words "Schedule One " the words " except

1904, No. 52.1 Early Closing—Amendment. Eow. VII.

confectioners and fruit shops," and by adding a paragraph as follows:- " The closing time for confectioners and fruit shops shall be not later than eleven o'clock in the evening of every day, and every such shop shall be kept closed for the remainder of the day."

4. All copies of the principal Act hereafter printed by the

Government Printer shall be printed as amended by this Act, under the supervision of the Clerk of the Parliaments, and a reference to this Act made in the margin.
