1. This is an application for special leave to appeal against orders of the Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court of New South Wales (Brereton JA, Simpson and Griffiths A‑JJA) allowing an appeal against orders of the Supreme Court of New South Wales (Ward CJ in Eq) concerning liability for payroll tax. The application does not raise any issue of public importance or general principle sufficient to warrant a grant of special leave to appeal.

2. Pursuant to r 41.08.1 of the High Court Rules 2004 (Cth), we direct the Registrar to draw up, sign and seal an order dismissing the application with costs.
