Duarte and Morse

In the matter of *Duarte and Morse*, heard before Le Poer Trench J, the proceedings concerned parenting matters between the mother and the father. The mother had filed several applications in relation to these matters.

The court was required to determine the mother's applications, which had been brought before the court. The court also considered the role and costs associated with the Independent Children's Lawyer appointed to the proceedings.

Le Poer Trench J discharged the appointment of the Independent Children's Lawyer and dismissed the mother's applications filed on 11 November 2015, 1 October 2014, and 11 December 2014. The court granted the mother leave to renew any application for interim parenting orders if the final hearing, scheduled for 26 June 2017, did not proceed as planned. Costs for the determination of the mother's applications were reserved for each party, and the Independent Children's Lawyer was granted leave to seek costs incurred during their appointment, to be filed within 28 days of the conclusion of the parenting case.
