e l ec t r i c t r a m w a y from D r u i n m o y n e to H a t -
t o n ' s F l a t , R y d e : a n d for o t h e r p u r p o s e s .

W H E R E R A S , in accordance wi th the previsions of the Pub l i c

W o r k s Act , the Legislative Assembly did. by resolut ion, declare tha t it was expedient to carry out a certain work, namely , t he construct ion of an electric t r a mw ay from D r u m m o y n e to H a t t o n ' s P la t , R y d e : And whereas, on the passing of the said resolution, a s ta tu tory du ty was by the said Act imposed on the Secretary for Pub l i c W o r k s to introduce a Pill into tin; said Assembly to sanct ion t h e ca r ry ing ou t of the said work : Re it therefore enacted by the K i n g ' s Most Exce l l en t Majesty, by and with t he advice and consent of t h e Legis la t ive Council and Legis la t ive Assembly of New Sou th Wales in Pa r l i amen t assembled, and by the au thor i ty of the same, as follows :—

1. This Act may be cited as the " Drummoyne to Ryde Elec t r ic

Construct ion, and deposited in the publ ic office of the said Secretary.
T r a m w a y Act, 1907." '

2. The ca r ry ing out of the work described in the Schedule to this A c t is hereby sanct ioned ; and the Secretary for Public W o r k s , or t he M e m b e r of t he Execu t ive Council for the t ime be ing per forming the duties of t he said Secretary, is hereby author ised to unde r t ake and car ry out the said work, subject to the provisions of this Act , and for t h a t purpose shall be and shall have t h e powers and duties of a Con­

s t ruc t ing A u t h o r i t y within the mean ing of the Pub l i c W o r k s Act , 1900.

8. The plan of the said work is the plan marked " D r u m m o y n e

to R y d e T r a m w a y , " signed by the Secretary for Publ ic W o r k s , and
counters igned by the Chief Engineer for Rai lway and T r a m w a y
4 . The cost of ca r ry ing out the said work, es t imated a t th i r ty -

n ine thousand six hundred and s ix ty-nine pounds (which includes the cost of rol l ing-stock and electric power, bu t excludes t h e cost of r e sumpt ion ) , may be defrayed from such Loan Votes as are now or m a y hereaf ter be applicable to t h a t purpose, or from appropr ia t ions of t he P u b l i c "Works F u n d , or part ly from such votes and par t ly from the said appropr ia t ions , and shall no t under any c i rcumstances exceed the es t imated cost by more than ten per c en tum.
