Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances (Poppy Cultivation and Processing) Amendment Regulations 2014

The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's deputy with the advice of the Executive Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances (Poppy Cultivation and Processing) Regulations 2014 to prescribe certain offences to be infringement offences within the meaning of the Infringements Act 2006.

2Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 69V and 132 of the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Act 1981.

3Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances (Poppy Cultivation and Processing) Regulations 2014[1] are called the Principal Regulations.

4Schedule 2—amended

(1)In item 1 of Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations in Column 1, for "Section 69SB(2)(a)" substitute "Section 69SB(1)


in relation to the information specified in


section 69SB(2)(a)".

(2)In item 2 of Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations in Column 1, for "Section 69SB(2)(b)" substitute "Section 69SB(1)
