Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances (Drugs

of Dependence) Regulations 1999

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objectives

The objectives of these Regulations are—

(a)

to make anabolic steroidal agents drugs of dependence by adding them to Schedule Eleven to the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Act 1981; and

(b)

to make other amendments to the items in Schedule Eleven to the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Act 1981.

2. Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 12M and 132 of the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Act 1981.

3. Amendments to Parts 1 and 2 of Schedule Eleven

(1) In Schedule Eleven to the Drugs, Poisons and

Controlled Substances Act 1981, columns 1, 2 and 3 of Part 1 of that Schedule are amended as follows—

(a)

after the item relating to "4-BROMO-2,5- add the following item—

"4-BROMO-2,5-
DIMETHOXYPHENETHYLAMIN

E (NEXUS) 0·5 0·5";
(b) after the item relating to "1-CHLORO-1- PHENYL-2-AMINOPROPANE" add the following item—

"2-(2-CHLOROPHENYL)-2-

(METHYLAMINO)

CYCLOHEXANONE (KETAMINE) 2·0 20·0";
(c)

after the item relating to following item—

"4-HYDROXYBUTANOIC ACID

(GHB) 2·0 50·0";
(d)

after the item relating to following item—

"2-METHYLAMINO-
PROPIOPHENONE

(METHCATHINONE) 2·0 2·0";
(e)

after the item relating to "(3,4- PROPANONE" add the following item—

"N-METHYL-1-(3,4-
METHYLENEDIOXYPHENYL)-2-

BUTANAMINE (MBDB) 0·5 2·0".

(2) In Schedule Eleven to the Drugs, Poisons and

Controlled Substances Act 1981, columns 1, 2

Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances (Drugs of
Dependence) Regulations 1999

and 3 of Part 2 of that Schedule are amended by
deleting the item relating to "Papaver

orientale L.".

4. Amendment of Part 3 of Schedule Eleven

In Schedule Eleven to the Drugs, Poisons and following items at the end of that Part—
