DRUG COURT ACT 1998—PROCLAMATION

(L.S.) GORDON SAMUELS, Governor.

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Drug Court Act 1998, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 11 December 1998 as the day on which Part 3 of that Act commences.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this proclamation is to commence those provisions of the Drug Court Act 1998 that provide for the constitution of the Drug Court, the procedure of the Drug Court, the appointment of Drug Court Judges and the appointment of a registrar and other officers to staff the Drug Court.
