Drug and Alcohol Treatment Act 2007

THOMAS FREDERICK BATHURST, Lieutenant-Governor I, the Honourable Thomas Frederick Bathurst, Lieutenant-Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 54 of the Drug and Alcohol Treatment Act 2007, make the following Order. Dated, this 12th day of June 2013.

Explanatory note
The object of this Order is to add certain substances (namely Benzodiazepines and Zolpidem) to the list of substances in Schedule 1 to the Drug and Alcohol Treatment Act 2007. As a result, a person who has a severe substance dependence in relation to such substances may be involuntarily detained and treated under that Act.

This Order is made under section 54 of the Drug and Alcohol Treatment Act 2007.
