AN ACT to amend the Droving Act, 1902-1935.

[Assented to 22nd September, 1954.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Droving Act

Amendment Act, 1954.

(2) In this Act the Droving Act, 1902-1935,

Act No. 30 of 1902 as amended by Acts Nos. 41 of 1919 and 14 of 1935 reprinted and incorporated in the Appendix to the Sessional Volume of the Acts of the Parliament of Western Australia, 1935,

is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act

may be cited as the Droving Act, 1902-1954.

2. Section three of the principal Act is amended 22ended.

adding after the interpretation "Manager"

the following interpretation:

"Motor vehicle" includes every descrip- tion of vehicle or locomotive engine or machine, whether used for carriage traction or otherwise, drawn by animal traction, or propelled or drawn by any mechanical power, and used or intended to be used on roads; the term does not include a railway locomotive, railway carriage or rail- way waggon. ;

(b)

adding after the word "driven" in line one of the interpretation "Travelling stock" the words "or conveyed by a motor vehicle".
