An Act to amend the States Grants (Drought Relief)
Act 1944, and for other purposes.

Preamble.
BE it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty,
the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia,
for the purpose of appropriating the grant originated in the House of
Representatives, as follows:—
Short
title and citation.
1.—(1.) This
Act may be cited as the Drought Relief
Act 1945.
(2.) The States
Grants (Drought Relief) Act 1944, as amended by this Act, may be
cited as the States Grants (Drought Relief) Act 1944–1945.
Payment
of financial assistance to certain States.
2.Section
three of the States Grants (Drought Relief) Act 1944 is amended by omitting the words “One million five hundred
thousand pounds” and inserting in their stead the words “One million eight
hundred and fifty-five thousand pounds”.
Drought
relief in Australian Capital Territory.
