Dried Vine Fruits Equalization Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Dried Vine Fruits Equalization Act 1978.

Commencement

1. (1)This regulation and regulation 3 shall come into operation on 18 July 1983.

(2) Regulation 2 shall come into operation on 14 July 1983.

2. After regulation 3 of the Dried Vine Fruits Equalization Regulations the following regulation is inserted:

Time for payment of levy

“3a. For the purposes of paragraph (a) of the definition of ‘prescribed period’ in sub-section 10 (2) of the Act—

(a) in relation to dried fruit of the following class, namely sultanas produced during the season that commenced on 1 January 1982, the period is the period of 10 months that commenced on 1 January 1983; and

(b) in relation to dried fruit of the following class, namely raisins produced during the season that commenced on 1 January 1982, the period is the period of 12 months that commenced on 1 January 1983. ”.

3. Regulation 4 of the Dried Vine Fruits Equalization Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (1) “month” (second occurring) and substituting “third month”; and

(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (3) “month” (third occurring) and substituting “third month”.
