DRIED FRUITS EXPORT CONTROL (BANKING) REGULATIONS.

 

Statutory Rules 1964, No. 64.(a)

 

Citation.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Dried Fruits Export Control (Banking) Regulations.

Repeal.

2. The Dried Fruits Export Control (Banking) Regulations (being Statutory Rules 1960, No. 32) are repealed.

Definitions.

3. In these Regulations—

“the Accountant of the Board” means the person employed under section 12 of the Act as the Accountant in the office of the Board in Australia;

“the Accountant of the London Office” means the person employed under section 12 of the Act as the Accountant in the office of the Board in London;

“the Act” means the Dried Fruits Export Control Act 1924-1953;

“the Economic Adviser” means the person employed under section 12 of the Act as the Economic Adviser to the Board;

“the Manager” means the person employed under section 12 of the Act as the Manager in the office of the Board in London;

“the Secretary” means the person employed under section 12 of the Act as the Secretary to the Board;

“the Technical Officer” means the person employed under section 12 of the Act as the Technical Officer in the office of the Board in London.

Signing or cheques on Australian Account.

4. Cheques drawn on the Dried Fruits Export Fund Account, being an account opened and maintained by the Board with the Commonwealth Trading Bank of Australia under section 22 of the Act, shall be signed by any two of the following:—

(a)the Chairman of the Board;

(b) a member of the Board;

(c) the Secretary;

(d)the Economic Adviser; and

(e) the Accountant of the Board.

Signing of cheques on London account.

5. Cheques drawn on the London Office Export Fund Account or the London Office Fumigation Account, each being an account opened and maintained by the Board with Commonwealth Trading Bank of Australia under section 22 of the Act, shall be signed by any two of the following:—

(a) the Manager;

(b)the Technical Officer; and

(c) the Accountant of the London Office.

Prescribed bank.

6. The Commonwealth Trading Bank of Australia is a prescribed bank for the purposes of sections 22 and 24 of the Act.
