These regulations may be cited as the
These regulations shall come into operation on the day on which the
(1) The Act does not apply to an electricity supply contract or a gas supply contract.
(2) In subregulation (1) —
(a) a standard form contract; or
(b) a non‑standard contract,
as defined in section 47 of the
(a) a standard form contract; or
(b) a non‑standard contract,
as defined in section 11WB of the
A contract for the supply of goods or services by a benevolent organization formed for the relief of poverty or the advancement of religion or otherwise involved in charitable activities in the community is declared under section 6(3)(c) of the Act not to be a prescribed contract.
The printing or typewriting of the contract and the notices referred to in section 7(1)(i) of the Act shall be of a size not smaller than 10 point type.
The Forms set out in Schedule 1 are prescribed in relation to the matters specified in those forms.
Where it is not practicable by the nature of a service to delay its supply, that service is, under section 8(3) of the Act, excluded from the application of section 8(2) of the Act.
(1) The offences specified in Schedule 2 are offences for which an infringement notice may be issued under Part 2 of the
Criminal Procedure Act 2004 .(2) The modified penalty specified opposite an offence in Schedule 2 is the modified penalty for that offence for the purposes of section 5(3) of the
Criminal Procedure Act 2004 .(3) The Commissioner may, in writing, appoint persons or classes of persons to be authorised officers or approved officers for the purposes of Part 2 of the
Criminal Procedure Act 2004 .(4) The Commissioner is to issue to each authorised officer a certificate, badge or identity card identifying the officer as a person authorised to issue infringement notices.

INSTRUCTIONS
This notice must be given by delivering it personally to the supplier or sending it by post in an envelope addressed to the supplier —
(a) within 10 days of the date on which the contract was made in the case of a rescission made before the expiration of the cooling‑off period; or
(b) within 6 months of the date on which the contract was made in the case of a rescission for a contravention of, or failure to comply with, section 5, section 7, or Part III of the
Door to Door Trading Act 1987 .
