Door to Door Trading Amendment

Regulations 2005

Made by the Lieutenant-Governor and Administrator in Executive
Council.

1.            Citation

These regulations are the Door to Door Trading Amendment
Regulations 2005.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation on 1 January 2006.

3.            The regulations amended

The amendments in these regulations are to the Door to Door
Trading Regulations 1987*.

4.             Regulation 2A replaced and transitional provision

(1) Regulation 2A is repealed and the following regulation is
inserted instead —

2A. Contracts to which Act does not apply
(1) The Act does not apply to an electricity supply contract
or a gas supply contract.
(2) In subregulation (1)
"electricity supply contract" means —

(b) a non-standard contract,
as defined in section 47 of the Electricity Industry

Act 2004;

"gas supply contract" means —

(a) a standard form contract; or
(b) a non-standard contract,

as defined in section 11WB of the Energy

Coordination Act 1994.

(2) Despite the amendment effected by subregulation (1), the Act
applies to a non-standard contract, as defined in section 47 of
the Electricity Industry Act 2004, entered into in the period

beginning on 1 January 2006 and ending on 30 March 2006.
