AN ACT to amend the Door to Door (Sales) Act

1964-1975.

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Door to andrt iatn.

may be cited as the Door to Door (Sales) Act 1964-

Commence-

ment. 2. This Act shall come into operation on a day

to be fixed by proclamation.

Section 3

amended. 3. Section 3 of the principal Act is amended by

(a)	inserting after the section designation "3." the subsection designation "(1)"; and
(b)	inserting the following subsection-

" (2) A vendor or dealer who fails to give to the purchaser or bailee (as the case may be) a statement in the form of the First Schedule to this Act duly completed by the vendor or dealer in accordance with the instructions contained in the said Schedule at the time at which a credit purchase agreement is made by the purchaser or bailee at the place of residence of the purchaser or bailee is guilty of an offence against this Act.

Penalty: One thousand dollars. " .

Section 5

amended. 4. Section 5 of the principal Act is amended, in subsection (4) and in subsection (5), by deleting "two hundred dollars." and substituting in each case the following-

" five hundred dollars. "

Section 7A

amended. 5. Section 7A of the principal Act is amended in subsection (1) by deleting "Two hundred dollars." and substituting the following-

" Five hundred dollars. " .

Section 7B

6. Section 7B of the principal Act is amended amended.

by

(a) in subsection (2), deleting "showing" and substituting the following

measuring not less than seventy-five millimetres by forty-five millimetres, separate from any agreement to which this Act applies, and which clearly shows "; and

(b) in subsection (5), deleting "Two hundred dollars." and substituting the following-

" Five hundred dollars. " .
